A VOICE to restore DISCIPLINE, increase student provision and enhance protection of OUR SCHOOLS!

I am a native of Sanford and a product of Seminole County Public Schools. After graduating from Seminole High School in 1986, I played college football for Kentucky Wesleyan College and captained the football team my senior year. I received my BA in Criminal Justice and returned home in 1990 to pursue a career in law-enforcement. I joined the Seminole County Sheriff's Office in 1991 and have fulfilled roles as a Patrol Deputy, DARE Officer, Intensive Juvenile Supervision Deputy and currently a School Resource Deputy at Lake Mary High since 2002.  I have coached youth and high school sports for over 30 years primarily in football at Lake Mary and Seminole Highs as well as Oviedo High. I also coached girls lacrosse and girls  weightlifting while at Lake Mary High.

During my time at the high schools, I have sponsored Fellowship of Christian Athletes as a Huddle Coach. In 2016, I retired from the Sheriff’s Office after 25 years of distinguished service. Due to my love of students and coaching as well as mentoring, I became a high school teacher! My first stint was in November of 2016 as an Environmental Science teacher at Seminole High. In the 2017-18 school year, I returned to Lake Mary High as a teacher of World History and American History. I learned first hand of the blessings but also the difficulties of being a teacher. After finishing out the school year, I returned to the Sheriff’s Office for the 2018-19 school year and returned to Lake Mary High School as a school resource deputy where I currently serve. In 2020, I started a nonprofit called "Red Suitcase Ministry" after rescuing an 80 year old veteran off the streets of Sanford who was living out of a red suitcase by raisin  $20,000 to purchase an RV where he now lives. The nonprofit has raised close to $100,000 in its three years of existence while completing over 100 missions helping those in the need the community. I now desire to take my passion and energy into a greater role serving the citizens and students of Seminole County on the school board!

My father was one of the first professors hired at Seminole State College in 1967. As a father myself and member of the Seminole County community for 55+ years, I am passionate about ensuring our schools provide the best possible education for our children. My mission is to bring strong accountability, discipline, and solid doctrine to Seminole County schools. This website is a space for me to share my vision and discuss the issues that matter to our community. I invite you to join the conversation and learn more about my campaign.

In the past, schools have been a "fathering" type of entity to students especially to those without one in their home. I am passionate about the fatherless which come from all walks of society. But I am equally passionate about young people as my years of coaching and mentoring can attest. Let's work together to build a better future for Seminole County schools. Keep up to date with my latest news and events by following me on social media. If you'd like to get involved with my campaign, I'd love to have your support. You can sign up to volunteer or make a donation to help us spread the word.
